About Jurgen De Pillecyn
Jurgen De Pillecyn (b. 1965, Hamme, Belgium) is a composer and educator. He studied musicology at KU Leuven and later trained in music theory, counterpoint, and composition at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, graduating with highest distinction in the class of Rafaël D’Haene. His work includes compositions for piano, organ, voice, chamber ensembles, and orchestra, often commissioned by institutions such as Axion Classics and the Flemish Community. He teaches at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels and is a member of the Robert Schumann Gesellschaft.
