About Lieutenant
Primarily a solo vehicle for Foo Fighters and Sunny Day Real Estate bassist Nate Mendel, Lieutenant make passionate, melodic modern rock. Looking for another outlet to showcase his songwriting, vocals, and guitar skills, Mendel began using down time between Foo Fighters engagements to record his ideas with Shins and Modest Mouse drummer Joe Plummer. The project developed over time, and in 2015 Mendel released Lieutenant's debut album, If I Kill This Thing We're All Going to Eat for a Week, on Dine Alone Records.
