About Sophie Buck
Sophie Buck grew up on a farm in the rolling Appalachian foothills of Middle Tennessee. She began playing violin by ear at age nine in her local church and discovered a love for other instruments as well, including the viola, guitar, mandolin, cello, and voice. Sophie gained experience playing at contra dances, churches, and shows around Middle Tennessee. In high school, Sophie played in several bands and had the opportunity to play on Alabama Public Television and other networks.
