After testing to see if Johnny Walker whiskey would taste good mixed with red wine, Daniel Humphreys, and Leon Smith decided that whiskey didn't go with red wine at all. They wrote a song about it anyways, and from that moment on a tradition was born. They were to get together every Sunday, drink, and write music. They called themselves Sunday Afternoon. Sunday Afternoon is a family band, Smith being Humphreys uncle. They discovered their musical chemistry after Smith bought a drum kit on a whim, and experimented with writing lyrics.
