As a seasoned Royal Conservatory musician, J9 made meaningful contributions to the Toronto art rock scene with their involvement in local bands The Good Ideas and Tripping Hazard. Eventually, their creative journey took a turn towards the electronic genre, allowing J9 to craft a unique sonic identity that was a distinctively alternative spin on contemporary electronic pop.
