Atlas Past is a blues/rock band from Phoenix, Arizona. The two founding members, Mark Atlas and Angelo Pastori, had played and recorded an album together with Final Cut, and when inner turmoil caused that band to break up, Atlas and Pastori wanted to expand their sonic capabilities under a new name, Atlas Past.What makes Atlas Past distinct is the multitude of different influences that show up in their music; they have merged the sonic influences of Pastori's influences (Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, etc...), with Atlas's influences (Metallica, Guns N' Roses, Van Halen,...
