Indie pop band Saturnine formed in New York in 1994 when singer/guitarist Matt Gallaway and bassist Mike Donofrio met while studying law. After enlisting drummer Jim Harwood and guitarist Jennifer Baron, the group issued their debut EP, Autoglider; their full-length debut, Wreck at Pillar Point, followed in 1995. Flags for Unknown Territiories appeared a year later, and in 1998 Saturnine returned with Mid the Green Fields. Upon completing 1999′s American Kestrel, Baron left the lineup. ~ Jason Ankeny
