Geechi The Goblin, born Johnathan Depina is an independent Cape Verdean/American music artist from Boston, Ma. The name "Goblin" is in reference to his October 31st (Halloween) birthday. "Geechi" was a term commonly used in the New England area to degrade Cape Verdeans and other people who were deeply rooted in their native cultures. Being the son of two immigrant parents, he naturally adopted the ways of his folks. "The insults never could phase me because I'm so proud of being who I am." As a matter of fact, he owned it.
