After a long break from instrumental music, I was encouraged by a good friend to join the Penang Philharmonic Orchestra. It was a challenge to not only bring back an old skill but also adjust to a new form: the orchestra. Playing a horn in an orchestra is quite different than playing in a concert band and it really expanded my thoughts on music. It also brought about a new desire: to compose my own music.
