Scott Tixier is a jazz violinist and composer known for his work with Stevie Wonder, Kenny Barron, Chris Potter, Anthony Braxton, John Legend, Elton John and Roger Waters. Born in a small town near Paris in 1986, Tixier grew up in an artistic family with a mother who is a dance teacher and pianist, a father who is an actor. His twin brother, Tony Tixier who is a jazz pianist. Tixier began taking violin lessons at age five.
