Boaz Roelevink was born in Franeker, a small town in The Netherlands. When he was a year and a half, his family moved to Cape Town, South Africa, where they lived for about ten years. Lots of music was played at their house and he discovered his love for Country, Blues, and Soul at an early age. Between the vineyards, where they lived, the then three year old Boaz and his father sang Summertime. At the age of thirteen, Boaz started playing guitar but his first guitar fell and broke.
