1984 - Three guys who know each other from school make their highly acclaimed debut as a rockabilly trio - the evening ends in complete frenzy for everyone involved. The Stray Cats' song about a crazy motor freak inspires the three of them to come up with their name: THE HOT ROD GANG. 40 years later, they are still rockin' regardless of short-lived trends and with their original line-up. Although inspired by the American music culture of the 1950s, the Hot Rods are not style clones.
