Led by singer/songwriter Chogue Hosein, Black Star Liner is one of the top Anglo-Asian bands in England. Since the release of their debut single, "Smoke the Prophets," which was voted NME Single of the Week in 1994, the Leeds-based ensemble has continued to forge a dance-inspiring fusion of ethnic instrumentation, electronic keyboards, and lush soundscapes.
