“The Awakenings Ensemble”, is the vehicle for drummer, composer and producer - Michael Pignéguy to venture outside of his original training in the genre of jazz, combining with that, his extended interest in Latin, Arabic & World Music genres. This process actually begun early new millennium (2004) with the album release by the act called “Salamander” - titled “Adapt”.
