The lush, colorful music created by London-based duo Bamboo is influenced by Japanese and Korean folk tales as well as art-pop visionaries such as Kate Bush and YELLOW MAGIC ORCHESTRA. The project was founded in 2014 by vocalist/multi-instrumentalist Rachel Horwood (Trash Kit, Bas Jan) and producer Nick Carlisle (Peepholes, Katy and Nick). Blending swirling electronic textures with banjos, marimbas, and Horwood's otherworldly vocals, BAMBOO's debut album, Prince Pansori Priestess was released by Upset! The Rhythm in 2015.
