Starmarket was formed 1994 in Piteå, a small town in the north of Sweden, and quickly became a part of the emerging indie- and hardcore scene in northern Sweden in the mid 90's. Their way of blending melancholic pop and noisy indie rock with the energy of hardcore and punk was something fresh and in many ways Starmarket evoked the wave of "emo" bands that would come a decade later. The mini-album Calendar and the furious Sunday's Worst Enemy further established their aggressive yet sensual sound. Extensive touring in Europe, Japan and North America helped building their reputat...
