Billykent is a singer-songwriter born in California, raised in Northeast Highland Park in Los Angeles, his songs encapsulate the many cultures and sounds of L.A. and California. Music truly has saved my life. From an early age of 5, I danced in rhythm. By eight, I was singing in the school choir. After my parent’s divorced (around age 10), we fell into poverty and life became a lot harder. By the time I was 12 years old, I was getting into trouble with the law.
