Soleima is the nom de plume of pop star/singer/songwriter Sarah Mariegaard, formerly of the Danish hip-hop collective Flødeklinikken. Emerging in 2016, her evocative mix of dreamy indie pop, R&B, and psych-tinged, left-field electro-pop invokes names like FKA Twigs, Lykke Li, and fellow Scandinavians Karen Marie Ørsted (aka MØ) and Ellinor Olovsdotter (aka Elliphant). Based out of Copenhagen, Soleima dropped a handful of well-received singles, including the sugary "My Boi" in 2016, in anticipation of her debut EP, No.14, which was released the following year via Parlophone.
