What began as a simple, solo side project bloomed into a full quartet of impassioned musicians from Albuquerque, New Mexico. Singer, guitarist, and keyboardist J. Cave started Baretta May as an outlet for his ideas that didn’t quite fit into the bands he played with at the time. In August of 2007, Cave began independently recording the first Baretta May release, Seven Cities. With the album still in the works by September of 2008, Jason Sparks (drums), Jeff Nash (guitar/keys) and Cameron Cave (bass) joined, which brought a new direction and life to Baretta May.
