Eseyas Debesay, commonly known as Haleka, is an Eritrean musical artist known for his defiant but meaningful musical style. Born in Asmara, Eritrea, Esayas was first introduced to music in 1999 when he joined the NUEYS (An Eritrean Youth Association) and sang for the first time during a school commencement ceremony. Eseyas released his first album, Ayteaman, in 2006. The Album was a huge success and he went on to release 3 additional albums; Neay Mehasheni in 2008, Sehaqiley in 2013 and Qememey in 2015.
