Magpie Jay started its journey with their first album Monte Claro, which pays tribute to one of the band’s favorite places for making music: inside an old royal farmhouse located in the province of Guanacaste, Costa Rica. Influenced by early 90’s rock albums and artists such as Red Hot Chili Peppers, Radiohead, Foals, and Tame Impala, the band recorded a 17-track-album, Islita, once again honoring Guanacaste’s beautiful landscapes.
