Mossi was in close association with the Ottoboni family. He had developed a close friendship with Corelli; the Ottoboni family was Corelli's patron. Princess Vittoria Altieri-Pallavicini probably was Mossi's employer as he dedicated his fourth opus to her in 1726. Mossi's published compositions included twenty six concertos and thirty six sonatas. Many of his musical stylings are illustrative of Corelli's influence.
