Jason dale White popularly known as Braintear Spookie was born and raised in Tower Hill, Kingston, Jamaica. He attended the Mount Carmel Academy where he was known by his classmates as a rising star. His father, Chris White was a lover of reggae and dancehall music and was keen on taking Spookie to stage shows even at an early age. Spookie soon grew an interest in acts such as Bounty Killer for his stamina and versatility and Vybz Kartel for his lyrical content.
