Garrett spent his early years in Valdosta, Georgia. His father, a military man, relocated the family to Bossier City, Louisiana. After graduating high school in 2018, Garrett decided to make his first trip to Nashville, TN. There he was invited to play a writer's round at the renowned Whiskey Jam, and by the end of the night was scheduling writing sessions throughout the week.
