Skinnie Kinnie was born in Memphis Tennessee. Being apart of a military family allowed him to live in Germany, Augusta Georgia, West Memphis Arkansas, and Anchorage Alaska. In 2000 he moved back to Memphis. While growing up and traveling, Skinnie was introduced to a wide range of music. He was inspired by artist like Nelly Ludacris Twista and Three 6 Mafia. He began rapping in 2003 with a group a friends known as the Hit'em Up Click (H.U.C). He later on released his first project titled "In My Mind" in 2005.
