TROUNCE is a project spearheaded by Jonathan Nido (Coilguns), the founder and CEO of Hummus Records. He wrote the songs in 2020 while working on Coilguns' fourth album and decided to create a side project to balance this meticulous process. Originally inspired by Dark Funeral's album "Diabolis Interium," Nido programmed fast drums and added riffs without overthinking. After demoing the songs and recording drums, he assembled a band for a special show commissioned by Roadburn Festival.
