From an early age Mirjam fell strongly in love with music and singing. She surrounded herself with many different sounds and styles and sang in a children's choir, later with various bands and experienced her first performances on stage. She first was exposed to jazz at the Langanau Jazz Festival in Switzerland where she took classes with artists like Becca Stevens, Gretchen Parlato, Thomas Dürst, Jeff Ballard and many more. Mirjam felt drawn to the freedom and playfulness of improvised music and started to study jazz vocals in Berne. Mirjam is the singer of different projects like Ayé!...
