Joining members from the Swedish groups the Isolation Years, Sista Vilan, and Riddarna, The Then & There started out as a trio including singer Patrik Jakubowski, guitarist Jakob Moström, and keyboardist Karl Ågerup. Their 2018 single Sand received heavy rotation on Swedish radio, a song written by Moström/Ågerup and mixed by Ollie Olson just like the band’s debut EP God I Feel Alone. In 2019, the group released the more lofi/bedroom sounding LP That Was Then, This Is Also Then including the single The Healer that reached new audiences in Mexico and the USA.
