Originating in the southern tip of Ontario, Mellodraw come from an area surrounded by fields, farmland, and open space. Founding member Jacob McLean (guitarist, singer, songwriter) was inspired to fill that space with a sound that would resonate with those in the local music community and alternative listeners around the world. Mellodraw creates ethereal and dynamic music by combining shoegaze, dream pop, and post-punk elements, as well as many other diverse influences into a sound of their own.
