In 2021 DERECHÖ played their first show, hailing from the Twin Cities,MN music scene. The band name came to our attention when lead vocalist Shawn Pohjola got caught in an inland hurricane of mass destruction in Iowa called a DERECHO. Loving the concept so much, joined by Jeff Kampf (guitars), Blake Nelson (bass), Chris Walker (guitars/orchestration) and Ian [Smeagol] Axberg (drums), we adapted it for our band and started creating music. Building a local following in the Minneapolis music scene, we just released our first E.P. on 11/1/24. New music is being created...this is just the begin...
