Hi! Emily here. I am a composer, coloratura soprano, orchestrator and songwriter from Cork, Ireland. I have been steeped in music since I was a baby, growing up in a family where music was in every aspect of our lives. My grandfather Danny was a top class traditional Irish fiddler. I spent 8 years in University College Cork, attaining a music degree and an MPhil in Composition. “Orainn” is an a cappella album of re-imagined old Irish songs in the Sean-Nós singing style, with some lyrics dating back hundreds of years.
