Big Surprise is an indie folk duo that combines shoegazy electric guitar with high and lonesome harmony singing into a genre they jokingly refer to as "quiet riot." Arthur Leon Adams III (Phenomenauts, BLAMMOS) wrote his first song in bed under a blanket with a flashlight when he was 9 years old. His songwriting has improved somewhat since then. Kathryn Evangeline Adams played in rock bands on the Lower East Side and the West Village while the internet was still in diapers, so don’t bother looking it up.
