Mauve is the debut album from Amsterdam based duo Balm. The album is an immersive and meditative exploration of organic sound built around loops, synthesis, different time signatures and patterns. Defined by a sense of space, the project is stripped to its bare essentials whilst still maintaining a diverse variety of shade and brightness over its seven tracks. Two years in the making, the project is a result of many live sessions that were later revisited and reworked multiple times. The whole project was recorded, written, arranged, mixed and mastered entirely by Balm.
