Along with his group Monsta X, Shownu – born Son Hyun-woo in Seoul on June 18, 1992 – is signed to K-pop giant Starship Entertainment; the tastemaking label founded by Kim Shi-dae in 2008 that's responsible for championing some of the genre’s biggest names.
