Originally hailing from the Midwest, Matthew Dotson cut his teeth in a series of successful Chicagoland bands before going solo in the early 2000's. After taking a brief break to study Music Composition, Dotson came back in the 2010's with a pivotal trilogy of releases on Already Dead Tapes, the label that continues to be his home. Since then Dotson has kept up a break-neck release schedule and has been playing live constantly.
