The new favorite band coming from the Jersey music scene is HOLZLI (pronounced holes-lee). Originally a duo, the band formed in 2018 when Daniel Robinson (vocals/guitar) met Tommy Vodka (vocals/bass) while attending Rutgers University. In 2022 Sal Carollo (drums) joined to complete the lineup and transform the group into a power trio. The band draws influences from a wide range of genres, pulling from classic rock stars such as Jimi Hendrix and David Bowie, alternative heavy hitters like Soundgarden, Incubus, and St. Vincent, and R&B legend Bill Withers to name a few.
