Born Chandler Gaynor in Atlanta GA , Chainz grew up in foster care and group homes due to his mother in an out of prison, in one of his foster home the parents had a studio built to keep the kids out of trouble so he was surrounded by musicians but he was more into drawing an poetry and later on wile in jail he turned his poetry in to rapping. At 13, Chainz finally put pen to pad and transformed his poetry into lyrical verses with potent punch lines. The Atlanta rapper has a melodic and lyrical flow that is rare in hip hop today.
