Panagiotis Koutouzos was born in Athens and comes from Chania, Crete. He grew up in Perama, Athens, but from a very young age he had a love for the Cretan tradition. This led him to become involved with the lute and music in general, through which he expresses every emotion. He wanted to pass on his musical knowledge to younger children by giving lute and mandolin lessons in many Cretan clubs in Athens.
