Adewale Muees Odekoya whose stage name is Da Great and also known as OoshaNla was born on the 4th of July 1995 in Bariga Lagos, Nigeria. He was raised by his parents and spent his teenage years in Shomolu and Egbeda. Da Great attended Laspo Tech. While in school he realized he wanted to pursue music, so at the age of 17 he started making music professionally.His mother played a major role in him become so interested in music.
