Black Jade is a Chinese American, Los Angeles-based music producer, vocalist, and songwriter. She draws inspiration from traditional East Asian music and experimental computer music--blending those disparate influences with r&b, pop, and indie. She's a resident for Beat Cinema, a music collective and event series. Black Jade also holds a PhD in Computer Music from UC San Diego and is a music software developer with Output.
