A$ap Mikey was born in Detroit, Michigan being influenced by several different artist including UGK, Slim Thug, South Park Mexican and many others. A$ap was taken from place to place having a hard childhood, living in various gang areas, getting his first felony at age 12. Then A$ap moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania that's where he found his passion in music. He started making underground music coming up in the areas he lived in.
