LURTZ is a metal band formed in 2019 by Brandon D. White and Anthony Brock in Neosho, MO. They wrote, recorded, and released their debut EP, Doomsayer, that same year. Over the next 2 years the band began playing shows, sharing the stage with bands like Traitors, Varials, Earth Groans, Orthodox, Falsifier, and many more. They released a second EP, Median, during this time. In 2021, (with Brandon D. as the only remaining member) LURTZ released the single Hillbilly before going on hiatus.
