Say Kids, a Nashville-based genre-blending quartet, was formed in 2018 by frontman Peyton Smith and lead guitarist William Cheatham. Shortly thereafter, they brought on bassist Oliver Finch and drummer Matt Gay and quickly became a local live-show favorite, playing nonstop shows and collaborating with several Nashville alt. rock bands prior to the pandemic. Following a year-long retreat, Say Kids made their return with “Waldrop”. The first release of a collection of 12 songs recorded in 2 days May of 2021 at Club Roar Studios in Nashville.
