Mirla was born in Salvador de Bahia (Brazil), in a community characterized by ancestral African traditions, where from a very young age she learned to communicate through dance and percussion, elements that were fundamental in the shaping of her identity. At the age of 12 she was part of her first musical project and discovered her passion for singing. From then on, she started to take part in several musical bands, and performed at the renowned Castro Alves Theater, with the Aruanda band.
