Born and raised in West London, Flares the Spirit got early exposure to music through the cities very own growing Grime and Garage scenes as well through the sounds of Reggae, Calypso and Neo-Soul played throughout his household. These influences had the young artist pick up a pen to start writing music in his early teens and by the time he hit 15 he was travelling across and around London performing at open mics and freestyling on various YouTube channels across the city.
