We are the Kill Sounds has evolved from Violetine and She's the Driver. Two bands which Sean Miljoen led as lead singer and guitarist. A fan of the trio band format Violetine were the Melbourne darlings of alternative rock in the early 90's and were signed to Mushroom Records. During that time they defected to Sony Music and released a follow up album to their first release. Then came a lengthy release dispute which left Violetine in limbo for several years.
