Despizer was founded in the spring of 2013 in a small town in central Poland and shortly self-published their debut album entitled „Joyride of Despair”. It was inspired by d-beat and crust punk bands such as Wolfbrigade and Doom. Since 2016, the band has shifted its musical direction.
