Born and raised in Thunder Bay, Ontario, on September 13th, 2002, Canadian-Ghanaian rapper Kofi AK was born with a guitar in his hand. Originally, he had specialized in blues music, mainly playing the guitar, along with playing alto saxophone and singing. While attending St. Patrick High School in Thunder Bay, he started the local youth blues-rock group “The Shortstops”; they had moderate success and played quite a few local shows.
