Mónica Santos

Born in Jujuy, Argentina, and currently based in Melbourne, Australia, Mónica Santos is an adventurous traveller, interpreter and songwriter. During her 5 years in Japan, she formed アンデスナンデス, a band focused on Latin American Folklore and Andean sounds. In her solo career, Monica plays caja coplera, a traditional drum from the north of Argentina, advocating the voices and life stories of the local people in South America.
