TVLIYA (pronounced “tah-lee-yah”) is an alternative pop singer-songwriter based in Toronto. Raised among cedar trees and the rocky beaches of the Pacific Ocean, TVLIYA’s musical style reflects the expansiveness of these landscapes. Informed by her parents’ Aretha and Joni records and a serious (and ongoing) Paramore obsession, TVLIYA has honed her vocal style through performing with Motown/R&B bands, dabbling in Jazz, and teaching herself enough guitar to belt out Alanis Morissette songs on her front porch as an angsty teen.
